LIFE BOAT…a survival tool

Christians may already sense that our world has experienced a “bump in the night” much as the H.M.S. Titanic did.  The bible warns us about those bumps and we do need a lifeboat in these times.

Christians witness a multitude of divisions in our faith and in the world.  I have suggested that we need to maintain a balanced relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We pray to the Father, read the Word (Son), and fellowship with Spirit filled Christians.  That trinity balance keeps us from error in a dangerous world.

The church is divided by doctrine, and it is hard to be sure if we are in the right path.  That balanced relationship delivers us from cool aid cults, false spirits, and misunderstood scriptures.  But we have been warned that many will be mislead in the end times.  We really need that balanced relationship to navigate to safety.

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3

So we know that Jesus will not come until there is a “falling away”, which is a time when men abandon faith in God.  That will happen before the Antichrist is revealed.  The worst of this time of deception comes during a lot of false teaching.

22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Mark 13:22

This is bad news, good news, because the Jewish people will benefit from this falling away.  As Christians are rejected, the Jews are accepted into the salvation of Yeshua Ha Meschia.

18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.

20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Romans 11: 18 -24

But for the church there is great loss as good Christians will be deceived by false religion.  We have not seen false miracles or magic yet, but we have false teachers and prophets today.  Not everyone who proclaims his faith in God is a Christian.  This is especially true when you cross into the political realm.  I think that we can see a lot of false claims in this realm.  In the end YOU are responsible for your choices, however risky.

As evidence of false teaching in our time I submit a couple of examples.  First I examined the words of Pope Francis and compared them to the bible If your church leaders depart from the bible, depart from your church leaders.  Your balanced fellowship of prayer and bible study should confirm the words of your leaders so you can have Spirit Filled guidance.  If one element is off, the others should warn you away.

With a political leader your church leaders may be able to help if they are on solid ground.  But again, keep up your prayer and bible study.  Donald Trump claims to be a Christian because he is a Presbyterian.  That church ordains homosexual ministers in rebellion against the bible.  But they claim that he does not even attend their church regularly.

At the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa.Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions.  “I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”  Eugene Scott, CNN Sat July 18, 2015

So Donald Trump tries to make it right without God, not asking forgiveness, by works, and not by grace.  He doesn’t think he is “saved” as I understand it anyway.  I doubt if God thinks he is saved either, if that is his relationship.  I hope that you have asked God for forgiveness because unlike what the Pope reported, Jesus is the ONLY name that saves us.

I can see that the falling away and the false prophets are already here.  Seeing the large number of “Christians” that follow false teachings and leaders we know that the prophesies are being fulfilled.  No one else but you can establish your relationship with God, and only you can be responsible to get it right.  No pastor, priest, pope, or politician can absolve you of guilt when you stand before God.  This election is nothing, but your eternal election is only available through Jesus our messiah.
